Hey Tylena, if you know how to do it, GO FOR IT! Otherwise it is good to engage an agent. They can advise on all finance- and contract-related matters, and point out things which sellers often overlook (e.g. importance of setting a realistic pricing); Help you to advertise aggressively (it is buyer's market now); Save you the hassle of paperwork and coordination (with buyer and buyer's agent); etcet.

Property is the most valuable asset one can ever own, so it can get pretty stressful if things go wrong. Hope this helps!
